Did you know that Pixi Beauty has an official color of the month for their nail polishes? It’s true! They try to pick a shade that goes with with that time of year.
September 2014’s nail polish color of the month? Almond Glow!
In the bottle, the shade looks like a slightly brown-toned beige with lots of rose-gold shimmer. The color makes sense for September—a month that ushers summer into fall. A muted shade seems just about right to me.
Let’s see how it looks in action!
This is two coats of Almond Glow. It looks a little bit different on my nails than it did in the bottle. It ended up a neutral beige without that tint of brown that I was seeing. While there’s some shimmer, it’s not nearly as noticeable as it is in the bottle.
Almond Glow takes a little while to dry, so be careful! You don’t want to get a big gash in your polish as you reach for that bowl of Cheddar Bacon Mac & Cheese potato chips before it dries.
What do you think of Almond Glow?
Do you like neutral nail polish? Would you try this one? Or are you looking for something bolder for September?
Let’s chat about it in the comments!
You can pick up this polish at the Pixi website and Target stores for $8.
